Street Performance

The weather has truly turned, the snow has gone, and I have an email from Burlington City Council / Church Street Marketplace asking - Do I want to apply for a "Street Performance" license? Well, yes I do!

As the days warm up, I plan to be out and about Street performing. As well as Church Street, Burlington, Vermont, expect to see me at infrequent intervals in Boston, Massachusetts, Faneuil Hall Marketplace and at Covent Garden Market in London, UK.
I love the spontaneity of street performance and there is no better feeling than starting with an empty square, then filling it full of happy people, cheering and laughing.
It's also very honest work! You get paid what people think you are worth and what the people can afford. And that is the way it should be!
By the way, for those of you thinking about joining the ranks of street entertainers worldwide. Please come and join us, the world needs more clowns and fewer lawyers. Sadly, most of the places I perform now require either a license or to be part of a program with an audition. The minimum you will need is Public Liability insurance and a thick skin!
